Activity/Assignment: Now is your chance to put some of your new knowledge to work. You are to design a store of some kind. It can be a clothing store, grocery store, convenience store, any kind of retail establishment.
Here is a link with some sample layouts:
http://www.smartdraw.com/examples/view/index.aspx?catID=.Examples.SmartDraw.Floor_Plans.Facility_Floor_Plans_%26_Retail_Layouts

Create a diagram of the basic layout of the store
Include a legend of the main features of the store (types of products, where they are sold etc)
Include a brief description of WHY you chose to layout your store the way you did.
Hints: Keep in mind storage space/stockroom/offices, FLOW of customers, shrinkage, if you are high end or low end, items at eyelevel, loss leaders etc.....

~I will mark you on how your design increases sales and decreases shrinkage. 15 MARKS!!

Your links got a little messed up. It looks like they were read as relative instead of absolute links.

You can navigate to the examples from SmartDraw's floor plan page.
